Our Philosophy
We are a GNU/Linux company deeply rooted in the principles of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS). We’re not just users; we're active contributors to the communities that sustain it. We believe in the power of collaboration and the importance of giving back.
We maintain strong ties to the Fedora Project and its derivatives (CentOS, RHEL, AlmaLinux, etc.), and we occasionally collaborate with the Gentoo and Arch Linux communities. Our contributions range from package maintenance and documentation to bug reporting and providing support through various channels (IRC, forums, matrix, etc).
We fundamentally believe that FOSS is the only truly trustworthy software. Closed-source, proprietary software operates as a "black box", offering no guarantees of its behavior or functionality. Reliance on the author’s integrity represents an unacceptable compromise – one we will not accept, nor do we recommend. We see FOSS as the only viable solution for government, business, or personal use, built on principles of transparency and user empowerment.
Our Approach
We possess a profound understanding of the systems we manage. We recognize that numerous approaches exist, and some actively undermine the integrity of those systems. Our philosophy prioritizes learning the nuances of our chosen platforms and building upon the collective work of the community.
We reject the notion that systems should "just work." True reliability demands secure, optimized, and robust functionality. The "just works" paradigm, while expedient, often sacrifices security and fundamental principles in the pursuit of simplified configuration. We strive for better. We meticulously configure your applications to operate within a secure, optimized and integrated environment.
Documentation is paramount. We leverage FOSS tools for documentation, ensuring it's accessible and useful. We embrace Git for version control, providing complete transparency into our processes – you're always aware of what was done, when, and by whom.
At our core, we champion community, transparency, and thoughtful implementation.
